Everybody were anxious to get into the Multi Purpose Room, to watch the Inauguration of Barack Obama. All students, fifth and sixth pushed and shoved everyone else in their way, to get threw. When we finally got passed that horde of students, one of the 7th grade teachers told me to take a seat on the floor, in front of all the other middle school students.The sixth grade got the luckiest seat because we were in front of everyone else and nobodies head would block the screen.In seconds the Inauguration began, today on Tuesday January 20th, 2009 Obama would officially become the 44th president of The United States of America. The Inauguration began with a lady singing a famous American song. The video stoped every 20 seconds and some parts were blurry,
When the singing finished Obama swore on the holy bible, to protect the United States of America. After that Obama gave an amazing speech to the people of America, but our school could not hear the full speech because of the poor quality of the video and because the subtitles were slow. Anyway Obama gave an excellent speech and we understood the most important parts of the speech.Every single person of our school, Balboa Academy clapped and cheered as loud as the could for Obama and believed by this touching speech that he would make a great president.
