John never seemed to gratify his parents. What ever he did was never enough. "We expect more from you," they said to him, "much, much, more." He pondered about what he could do to live up to their expectaitions, he got got straight A's, always did lavish homework assigments, and succeded in everything he did.
One day John's parents were called for a parent-teacher confrence to tell them how well he was doing in school. "We are all filled with rapture to see him daily, he's an amazing boy! An overacheiver!"
After a while, they finally came to their sences and apologized "We are so happy to have you son, and we are sorry we do not always show it."
