He wakes,
He works,
He wishes.
He wears,
The same worn-out jeans,
For thirty years now.
A proud man,
Grandfather of three children,
Who’s been up
And down,
On his feet;
For seventy years.
Doesn’t give up.
He cooks,
He cleans,
He reads his paper,
With his morning coffee,
Wondering:
What will tomorrow bring?
For his whole life time.
Doesn’t glower,
When he sees the business men,
In their sports cars,
He couldn’t ever afford.
He just wakes,
Works,
And wishes,
In his worn-out jeans.
